You are a chachia: a diminutive race of magical creatures once thought to be forest guardians but rarely seen in modern days. Are their numbers dwindling, or do humans simply not recognize them anymore? Legends say they can look like anything in nature, from a patch of flowers to a pine cone...
Guide Meadow, a lost child of the plains tribe, on her quest for a new home. Meet Hemlock, a far-roaming alpine chachia whose sturdy form allows him to navigate brambles and other rugged terrain. And get disappointed when you discover there's only one level so far.

Install instructions
Extract the .zip and run The Chachia.exe.
Depending on your Windows settings, you may see a security prompt to "allow an app from an unknown publisher," but don't worry, I'm not competent enough to do anything bad to your computer.
If you are downloading the standalone installer, you may also be prompted to install a Visual C++ Redistributable package for GameMaker Studio 2, which I used to develop the game. But the .zip version should skip that step, so try that first.
